Privacy

The PSS Group recognises the importance of the privacy of its client's personal information. The PSS Group is bound by and complies with the provision of the Privacy ACT 1988 (Cth) and the National Privacy Principles. The following is a guideline as to how the PSS Group deals with your personal information.

 

1. Collection of Information
 

The PSS Group only collects personal information that is necessary to provide those services which the PSS Group has been engaged by the client to provide and where necessary for the operation of The PSS Group's business. The PSS Group shall advise you at all times the purpose of collecting personal information and ensure that your personal information is collected lawfully, by fair means and with your express consent.

Use of Information

 

The personal information the PSS Group collects is normally only used and disclosed for the primary purpose for which it was collected. The purpose will usually be expressed to you at the time of collection. Should the PSS Group intend to utilise your personal information for secondary purposes then your express consent to the use of the personal information will be obtained first, unless the secondary purpose is allowed under the National Privacy Principles ("NPP").

 

3. Security
 

The PSS Group takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of your personal information and safeguard it against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, destruction and loss.

 

4. Access to Information
  You are able to access your personal information currently held by the PSS Group through written request at the address provided below. Most requests will be granted, except to the extent that:
  (a) the request is frivolous or vexatious; or
  (b) the request for access would unreasonably impact on the privacy of others; or
  (c) the request for access and resulting provision of access would be unlawful; or
  (d) the request for access and resulting provision of access would be prejudicial to commercial negotiations between the PSS Group and others.
 

Should a request for access to personal information be denied then written reasons will be provided to you outlining why that access was denied.

 

5. National Privacy Principles
 

The PSS Group abildes by the National Privacy Principles, a copy of which is available from the Privacy Commission's website at www.privacy.gov.au
